Facial Rig

I put together this rig as an independent study for my Advanced Topics in 3D Animation course, so that I could do believable lip-syncs in my senior film. After working with both blendshape driven facial rigs and joint driven facial rigs, I found that I prefer joint driven rigs, with corrective blendshapes when necessary. A plus of the joint driven rig is that now, Jeff looks like he has a spider in his face. I can see now that the controllers on the eyes are a little much, but they get the job done.

Here are some early playblasts of lip-syncs I've done with the rig, as well as a little demo playing around with it.
